The Automation/Equipment Project Engineer will design and implement automation equipment to improve the quality and throughput of our Spiral Module Production and Plate and Frame Production lines. They’ll develop future-state equipment for large-scale manufacturing of Plate and Frame Modules by gaining an understanding of the manufacturing process, then determining what is needed on a very large scale. Typically, the equipment needed will be highly customized for MTR’s specific application. This position is expected to manage multiple large Capital Projects (CAPEX) projects at once. They will drive technical clarifications with thorough documentation and communication between internal knowledge sources and custom equipment vendors. This position will help with general facility layout and design and site selection for a future facility. They may also implement full or scaled-down versions of automation equipment to our current production lines, both as tests/prototypes for future automation and to help expand the capabilities of our current facility and production lines.
